The only CE content included are some of the station graphics but that's where the line is drawn so it is definitely not a dependency but it can be used with it.

With all seriousness you made my dreams come true with this mod.
Also the post could use with some clarifying since its not obvious what the mod does at first read (the images are a big help in fixing that).

The hitbox is determined by the shield image canvas size. When you look at the Slug (or Mantis, Lanius, Federation, Pirate) shield images then you'll see that the shield "drawing" size does not match the canvas size. The canvas is either vertically or horizontally longer than the shield b...

I tried so damn hard to fix that shitty shield bug but i just can't seem to get the vertical hitbox to not be so damn tall (horizontal is fine), and that's only because I have no idea what decides the size of the actual hitbox.

I don't know if you noticed but the slug station has some weird shield like the drawing doesn't match the actual hitbox.
Also the laser is pointing upwards but shooting sideways.
I don't want to bother you with all of these but i just thought I should tell you in case you didn't know
